| At Academy 4 Kids we encourage children to grow and blossom as we enhance their unique awareness of self and the world around them with special programs. Our focus is on social, physical, emotional and cognitive development. We greatly appreciate the trust that our parents display in our staff in nuturing the children of tomorrow. We tend to the needs of your child 6 weeks old through grade school. Our very dedicated staff will provide age appropriate activities that will keep your child full of ENTHUSIASM and EXCITEMENT. Short walks in the neighborhood and to local area parks help the children to become aware of the world around them. Small Classes allow the staff to provide that special attention needed by each and every child. Our indoor gym/classroom is a fantastic play area for children to enjoy large motor activities and during those rainy, wet days when they can't go out on the playground. A small snack will be served daily so the children will be able to experience eating with their friends and to learn classroom table manners. All programs include a nutritional lunch prepared daily in our school kitchen. | |
| Infants (6 weeks to 12 months) |
Infants are warmly and affectionately cared for so that each child knows that he/she is special. The goal of giving each child a feeling of independence and a positive self awareness is accomplished through exploration, social interaction and learning activities in accordance to each child's natural rhythms and routines. |
| Toddlers (12 to 23 months) |
Sharing, listening, making new friends, playing in a group, and socialization are all a part of your toddler's experience at Academy 4 Kids. In addition, potty training begins and is helped along with our special 'toddler' size toilets. |
| Mini Preschool & Preschool | Activities galore are the goal in keeping pace with the 2 and 3 year olds. Emphasis will be on special themes such as seasons, holidays, weather, feelings, self-expression and safety. Age appropriate activities incorporating our famous GIGGLES, WIGGLES AND SMILES are always fun. This program is designed to give your child an introduction to preschool and gain experience in a group setting with other children. Dramatic play, exercise, arts and crafts, circle time, story time, songs, and free choice time, are all designed to allow them to become their own little person. |
| Pre-Kindergarten (4-5 years) |
Learning is further enhanced at this age with the basic concepts of reading and math readiness, vocabulary, writing, sequence work, science observation along with more advanced listening skills. These skills will become the foundation for our pre-kindergarten program. |
| Private Kindergarten (5-6 years) |
Our fully accredited Private Kindergarten program continues to help your child strengthen his/her vocabulary along with all the other basic skills introduced in the Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten program. Emotional and artistic development is also enhanced with music, arts, and crafts education. |
| Public School (kindergarten and Elementary Grades) |
We provide transportation to and from your child's school for before and after school care. Some public schools provide bus service to our door where your child is greeted by a teacher or staff member on duty. In addition, we are able to offer care when public school is not in session for early dismissal, conference and no school days. Activities for your child may include arts, crafts, outdoor play, music, drama, field trips and time to do homework (if they desire). An afternoon snack is served. Children arriving from public kindergarten will also have a hot lunch each day. |
| You choose the level of your child's participation for Mini Preschool, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and Private Kindergarten: It's as easy as A, B, C! No matter the age, you can pick the level of care that best suits you and your child's needs. |
